I was petrified the place would burn down. I was shocked that there was a *cough, cough* smoking section. It was crowded with what appeared to be many people who should have spent their monies on dental work instead.

The blackjack tables were sparse and there was a little alcove for Baccarat (sp)-which I guess was set apart for high rollers-of which the alcove was empty save for the dealers. I have no idea what I was thinking! First of all, the venue consisted mostly of those slot machines and various other gamining machines. Women in fabulous gowns, glittering with jewels dangling from ears, necks and wrists. Now for some ungodly reason, I visualized the casino clientele to look as though they stepped out of a James Bond film or out of a Monte Carlo gambling venue. Of the three, I was the only one who had never been in a casino before. That being said, my son and husband and I decided to check this casino out after a nice dinner at Parc in Philly. It is off of Route 422 in King of Prussia-the exit to get off at 422, being a tad confusing to those who do not use this road on a regular basis. This casino is housed in the former 'Scanticon' convention center-the place of many a corporate convention of the past and the infamous Lilly Pulitzer *smile* semi-annual warehouse sale. I may have been many places in my lifetime, but I had never, ever been to a casino. don't buy (the membership) it for a second. According to a 'manager' at Valley Forge Casino, the purpose of the membership is to cater to a more respectable consumer. In the area, there are nicer places, Harrahs in Chester or any of the ones in Delaware sure beats this casino.

Have emailed them for a refund, still waiting for a response. Ladies restrooms by the food court and in the casino were dirty and grimy, not a good thing to see on any day. When the network went down for the ATM machines, the service people behind the desk got overwhelmed and rude. Ordered a coffee and water, got cold coffee no water, no explanation, no customer service. Sat down at a nonsmoking section, only to be engulfed w/smoke (smoke is illerate, it doesn't pay attention to the signs, it goes where it wants). After buying a membership, we were told to go into another line, which was another line to buy a membership (obviously miscommunication) we went to the rewards card line (2 people behind the desk) finally we were admitted into this very crowded, very smoky casino. We were on the way back from upstate New York and stopped into the casino as it was opening day.
